What would be a grad. gift 100.00 bucks or 100.00 gas card?

My nephew is a senior and I want to give him something useful! I am afraid if I give just money!

1. With gas prices the way they are I would say a gas card would be an awesome gift! I wish someone would give me one!

3. i think cash would be more appreciated. i always forget about or lose gift cards (especially if it is for $100, he would have to use it several times). My relatives all gave me $100 for my graduation, and I ended up with about $1000 that i put towards a computer. That is a lot more practical than getting several gift cards for a bunch of different stores. So I'd go with the cash, unless you think he will be completely irresponsible with it, then get him the gas card.

6. As a mom and gramma, I thnk that the $100 cash would be a better gift. That way if he has his mind on something special he can apply it there. With gas being the way it is, you just really don't know what you're going to get anymore...besides, most of the time, cards or gift certificates end up not being used or misplaced long enough that they become outdated and your gift will have become useless. Give him the money and let him go...no matter what he uses it for, he won't forget your thoughtfulness...
