Kind of like debit cards... but not gift cards... Like the ones where you can put 20 dollars 50 dollars etc

Sounds like you are looking for a Green Dot Card. They can be "refilled' with whatever you want to put on them. Check with your gas stations - the program is not "brand" specific but usually done by a company called Pay Spot. Some gas stations may have the program and some don't.
